Every year the International Maritime Organization (IMO) celebrates World Maritime Day. This year, World Maritime Day is on Friday, September 26th. The day is used to focus attention on the importance of shipping safety, maritime security, and the marine environment, as well as an opportunity to emphasize a particular aspect of IMO’s work. For 2014, IMO is focusing on Effective Implementation.
