EQUIPMENT

Recently acquired mobile production machinery and equipment includes but is not limited to:

  • Welding Equipment – more availability and capability with new welding machines, multiple diesel welders, power packs and suitcase wire feeders, all from Lincoln Electric
  • Doosan P425 Compressor dual pressure compressor – more flexibility on-site as well as immediate off-site availability with a portable compressor unit in addition to the Shipyard’s on-site compressor units
  • Manitex 35100C 35-ton Boomlift truck – even more lifting capacity for materials both on-site and off-site, this road ready crane will join the existing 80-ton capacity crane on-site
  • Skyjack SJ66T Telescopic manlift – one of two new manlifts being acquired to access critical and hard to reach work areas on vessels; will also provide a fast, safe and efficient point from which to blast, paint or weld
  • Skyjack SJ45T Telescopic manlift – second of two new manlift units, the differing sizes will provide the flexibility of assigning the right dedicated equipment to the right job
  • Skytrack8042 Telescopic material handler 8,000 lbs. lift capacity – upgrading the Shipyard’s ability to move materials and placing in tight confines
  • Terex AL5 Light towers (2) – working in the shortened days of winter or emergency repairs as night, the addition of the portable light towers will be available both on-site and off-site to meet customer needs
  • Kalmar DCE-150-12 heavy duty 32,000 lbs. straight mast forklift truck – a heavy duty addition to the fleet of material handling equipment at the Shipyard, moving major components such as z-drives or complete engines is now all easily accomplished on-site
  • Ford F-550 Supercab and Winston 12.5-ton tandem trailer – provides GLS with complete mobilization capabilities and in-house ability for the transport of materials and men
