This ver­sa­tile “green” class tug has just the right pow­er and size to han­dle most jobs at the low­est oper­at­ing costs.

The “Handy­Size” Class Tug was designed by Jensen Marine Con­sul­tants and is built by Great Lakes Ship­yard to fill the niche between the 2800 to 3200 HP mar­ket for har­bor work, fire­boats, and con­struc­tion oper­a­tions as well as coastal tow­ing. The hull and fram­ing of the tugs are built for extra hull strength and increased dura­bil­i­ty over the years, whether or not employed in ice. Every tug is built to Amer­i­can Bureau of Ship­ping (ABS) standards.
