Miller Boat Line, a reg­u­lar cus­tomer of Great Lakes Ship­yard, con­tract­ed with the Ship­yard to pro­vide unsched­uled work on their fer­ry M/V ISLANDER. The Ship­yard hoist­ed the fer­ry on Tues­day, May 13th with its Marine Trav­elift. While out of the water, Miller Boat Line seized the oppor­tu­ni­ty to com­plete its 5‑year US Coast Guard inspections.

The Marine Trav­elift at Great Lakes Ship­yard is the largest on the Great Lakes, sec­ond largest in the West­ern Hemi­sphere, and third largest in the world.
