Overview

The Great Lakes Tow­ing Com­pa­ny is seek­ing a Jan­i­tor for its machine shop divi­sion, Plotz Machine. The Jan­i­tor and Parts Clean­er is respon­si­ble for main­tain­ing a clean facil­i­ty by com­plet­ing a vari­ety of clean­ing tasks and is respon­si­ble for clean­ing parts and tools used in the dai­ly oper­a­tion of the machine shop.

Responsibilities

• Clean the inte­ri­or build­ing includ­ing floors, restrooms, and mis­cel­la­neous parts/tools
• Dis­in­fect com­mon­ly used items like desks, door han­dles, office tools and phones
• Main­tain inven­to­ry of clean­ing products
• Main­tain out­door grounds
• Remove debris and snow from side­walks and park­ing lot
• Emp­ty trash and recy­cling bins
• Oth­er duties as required

Qualifications

• No pri­or clean­ing expe­ri­ence required
• Must have a good dri­ving record

Minimum Work Environment Requirements

• Wear Per­son­al Pro­tec­tive Equip­ment (PPE) pro­vid­ed by the Com­pa­ny appro­pri­ate to job duties
• Repet­i­tive bend­ing, twist­ing, kneel­ing, and reaching
• Expo­sure to loud noises
