DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hands-on man­age­ment of A/R(Billing), A/P, Pay­roll and G/L functions
• Pre­pare finan­cial state­ments in accor­dance with gen­er­al­ly accept­ed account­ing prin­ci­ples, account rec­on­cil­i­a­tions, and enti­ty report­ing with empha­sis on per­cent­age-of-com­ple­tion account­ing and rev­enue recognition
• Fore­cast cash flow on a reg­u­lar basis and pro­pose quar­ter­ly cash dis­tri­b­u­tions to par­ent company
• Month­ly, quar­ter­ly and year end Pay­roll tax­ing author­i­ty report­ing and statu­to­ry reporting
• Ensure time­ly invoic­ing to cus­tomers and accru­al of accounts payable
• Respon­si­ble for main­tain­ing time­clock and NAV job cost system;
• Com­plete Time­Clock Plus(TCP) serv­er based soft­ware to cloud based;
• Pro­vide month­ly, quar­ter­ly, and year-end analyses;
• Lead an out­side account­ing firm through annu­al audits of the finan­cial state­ments; assist par­ent company’s tax pre­par­er as need­ed Serve as 401k co-trustee
• Aug­ment IT Sup­port func­tion as need­ed in addi­tion to out­side ser­vice providers;
• Oth­er duties as assigned includ­ing spe­cial projects, back up pay­roll, A/P and A/R(billing)
• Hire and cross train assis­tant con­troller to pro­vide redun­dan­cy of crit­i­cal tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong account­ing knowl­edge and 5–10 years of work expe­ri­ence includ­ing  super­vi­so­ry experience
• Pub­lic account­ing expe­ri­ence (2–4 years of audit expe­ri­ence preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA required
• Work­ing knowl­edge of rev­enue recog­ni­tion account­ing stan­dards (e.g. per­cent­age-of-com­ple­tion accounting)
• Mul­ti-enti­ty finan­cial report­ing and finan­cial con­sol­i­da­tions expe­ri­ence preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Detail ori­ent­ed with excel­lent fol­low-up practices
• Team­work and lead­er­ship skills with col­leagues out­side of the account­ing and report­ing envi­ron­ment to accom­plish goals and meet deadlines
• Pro­fi­cien­cy in multitasking/prioritizing and abil­i­ty to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Strong writ­ten and ver­bal com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills
• Expe­ri­ence with Microsoft Dynamics/NAV pre­ferred; expe­ri­ence with Sage Intac­ct account­ing soft­ware preferred

SALARY:                         $150k-160k plus bonus
